Meishan Taiping Village Water Resource Recovery Center
The Meishan Taiping Village Water Resource Recovery Center, located in Taiping Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County, is a significant environmental engineering facility and an educational attraction. The center aims to improve the environmental sanitation of Taiping Village by effectively treating domestic sewage through recycled water treatment technology, reducing pollution to the natural environment.

The bus waiting pavilion is located next to the minibus stop, and the buses that pass through include:
1. Route 107 from Meishan to Taiping
2. Route 7315 from Chiayi Daya Station to Chiayi Railway Station
3. Route 113 from Dalin Station toTaiping Suspension Bridge Station

Sun and Moon Pavilion (Welcome Plaza)
The Welcome Plaza is a place visitors must pass through to reach the suspension bridge entrance, and many activities or performances are held here
The Sun and Moon Pavilion ceramic tile artwork is located in the plaza:
• Created by artist Chiang Chien-Fu, born in Chiayi County
• Inspired by the natural scenery and local culture of Taiping Village
• The artwork depicts the beauty of different landscapes from sunrise to sunset
• Through the auspicious scenes of sunrise, sunset, and moonrise, it conveys the eternal classic status of the Taiping Suspension Bridge, enriching the entire Taiping mountain city
There are staircases on both sides leading to the suspension bridge entrance:
1. The left side has 95 steps, about five stories high
2. The right side has gentler steps with a pavilion for visitors to rest
Taiping Suspension Bridge Entrance (Two Support Poles)
The Taiping Suspension Bridge is located at an altitude of 1000 meters, at the windy end of the Five Peaks, with a total length of 281 meters
• Due to terrain, geology, and location conditions, the bridge structure's main north-south cables and east-west wind resistance system are asymmetrical
• The two support poles at the entrance add to the construction difficulty
• All bridge cables are made in Taiwan, and it is the first pedestrian suspension bridge to undergo wind tunnel testing, capable of withstanding strong gusts up to 16 levels
The north bridge tower at the entrance is 22.8 meters high, located on the Taiping ridge, symbolizing a new beginning and bringing good luck to the village
• The suspension bridge represents the dragon's body, while the south bridge tower at the exit is only 5 meters high, hidden in the mountainside of Guibishan, resembling a hidden dragon

Taiping Suspension Bridge Exit Route Guide
The suspension bridge is one-way
• There are two routes at the exit:
1. Upwards leads to the entrance of the Yunzhinan Tea Garden Trail
2. Downwards, leads to the return trail to the visitor center
Return Trail Platform
The return trail directly connects the suspension bridge exit to the visitor center parking lot
• A gentle downhill walk of about ten minutes
First Pavilion on Yunzhinan Trail
Yunzhinan Trail is a tea garden scenic trail, connecting the suspension bridge exit to Taiping Old Street, about 815 meters long
• Three pavilions are available for visitors to rest, enjoy the village, and experience the tea garden
• From the suspension bridge exit, it takes about ten minutes to reach the first pavilion by climbing 268 steps
• This is the highest point of the trail, ideal for overlooking the Chianan Plain, sea of clouds, and sunsets
Second Pavilion on Yunzhinan Trail
Yunzhinan Trail connects Taiping Suspension Bridge with Xiaozilu Trail
• There are three pavilions along the trail
• From the suspension bridge exit, it takes about ten minutes to reach the first pavilion after climbing a steep slope with 268 steps
• Upon reaching the second pavilion, travelers can view the Chianan Plain, with a broad view of the suspension bridge on the left and the Taiping village landscape on the right, enjoying the tea fields and forest scenery
Wuer Kiln Wood-Fired Kiln Art Installation
Designed by Meishan artist Wang Wenzhi, located at the entrance of Xiaozilu Trail
• The design concept is centered on nature, with an irregular roof shape representing the beauty of Taiping's mountain ridges
• The name derives from the adjacent "One Red Attraction," symbolizing the endless vitality of all things, hence the name Wuer Kiln
Taiping is in the Alishan tea area, mainly producing tea
• Combining ceramics and tea through the wood-fired kiln design, creating unique tea utensils, enhancing the warmth and artistic atmosphere of tea culture
• Provides ceramic creation and experience activities, allowing visitors to feel the artistic ambiance of Taiping
【A Streak of Red Delight Taiping Kiln 】Art Installation
Created by Meishan artist Wang Wenzhi, inspired by Taiping's main industry, tea
• The exterior depicts the curved shape of a tea leaf, using mosaic techniques to create gradients of natural red elements
• The materials include aluminum, ceramics, stainless steel, and glass
This art space attracts many visitors with its stunning visual highlights
• The overall color scheme takes inspiration from a red spot in the mountain stream, reflecting the charm of falling flowers scattered in the mountains, embodying the vitality to visit Taiping and energizing Taiping's ambition
• This site creates a new landscape culture for Taiping, integrating the natural mountain forest and shaping a unique artistic space.
Xiaozilu Trail
The trail's entrances are located at the end of Taiping Old Street's Bamboo Grove Teahouse and beside a Streak of Red Delight Taiping Kiln Art Installation, about 1.1 kilometers long
• The stone step trail is flanked by Mengzong bamboo forest, reminiscent of the story of Mengzong weeping for bamboo in the Twenty-Four Filial Pieties, hence named Xiaozilu
The bamboo forest scenery in the trail resembles the scenes from the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"
• The lush green bamboo forest blocks most of the sunlight, making it the best summer resort
Pavilion (The spot connecting Dalingding Trail)
This pavilion is located at the highest point of Xiaozilu Trail
• A bamboo path beside it leads to the Dalingding Trail, continuing to Fengtianyan and Duli Mountain Trail
• The lower path leads to the Bamboo Grove Teahouse direction

Bamboo Grove Teahouse
Bamboo Grove Teahouse is an ancient-style wooden building
• Decorated with sentences from Zhang Wenhuan's works, enhancing the artistic atmosphere and preserving the spirit of Zhang Wenhuan's literary creation
• Located opposite Taiping Elementary School at the end of Taiping Old Street, also the start and end point of Xiaozilu Trail
• A public restroom is available beside the building for visitors
Taiping Elementary School
Taiping Elementary School was established on April 15, 1922
• It was the only elementary school in the nearby mountain area at that time, with a history of nearly 100 years, nurturing many outstanding talents, and is one of the oldest elementary schools in the mountain area
Sanyuan Temple
Sanyuan Temple is the main religious center in Taiping, dedicated to the Three Officials Emperors: Yao (Heaven Official), Shun (Earth Official), and Yu (Water Official), known as the Three Realms Gods
• The temple originated from Zhangzhou, Fujian, during the 30th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, with a history of over 200 years
• Due to the increasing number of believers, a wooden temple was built in 1926 at the current community activity center location
• In 1976, due to the old and narrow temple, it was relocated to the current site after five years of reconstruction with the help of villagers and many benefactors
Sanyuan Temple is the central temple of the Three Officials Emperors in Taiwan
• In addition to the Three Officials Emperors, the temple also enshrines the Jade Emperor, Guanyin Buddha, Wenchang Emperor, Xuantian God, and Tai Sui God
• Annual festival activities include the Lantern Festival, Zhongyuan Festival, and Xiayuan Peace Ceremony, attracting many devout believers, indicating its thriving incense
Zhang Wenhuan's Former Residence
Zhang Wenhuan was an extremely important novelist and literary leader in Taiwan in the 1940s
