The story of the "Indomitable Little Hero"—this little hero is Longhua Elementary School in Xinyi Township, Nantou County!

🌊 First Challenge: The Mud Monster Arrives (1996)
Long ago, Longhua Elementary School quietly nestled beside the Chenyoulan River in Shenmu Village. However, in 1996, a powerful typhoon named "Hebo" brought a massive mudslide that swept into the school.

At that time, the school playground and first-floor classrooms were almost completely submerged in thick mud, as if swallowed by a monster.

Although it was difficult, everyone worked hard to dig through the mud and repair the school.

⚡ Second Challenge: The Earth's Mischief (1999)
Unexpectedly, only three years later, shortly after the school was repaired, it was hit by the powerful 921 earthquake.

This earthquake damaged the newly built school buildings again. Longhua Elementary School really had a tough time.

However, everyone persevered. With the help of many kind-hearted individuals, we built a super beautiful campus in 2001, resembling a scenic spot.

🌧️ The Third Challenge: The Terrifying Flood (2009) After a few years of peaceful times, the devastating Typhoon Morakot struck in 2009. This time, the raging river eroded the school's foundation, and the beautiful school buildings collapsed.

This was the third time the school had faced a natural disaster.

🏰 Now: Transformation! A Sturdy Round Castle (2013 to Present) Having overcome three challenges, everyone realized that the original location might not be safe enough, so they decided to relocate Longhua Elementary School to a higher, safer place.

With the help of many compassionate superheroes (reconstruction teams and the Red Cross), the new Longhua Elementary School was finally completed in 2013.

The school looks very different now! It resembles a round castle, inspired by the "Tulou" (earthen buildings) of Hakka culture. Not only is it beautiful, but it also provides shelter from the wind and rain, allowing children to study peacefully.

This is the story of Longhua Elementary School—despite encountering many difficulties, just like our school song says, we must **"persevere"** and never be defeated by adversity!

Another Longhua: There's another Longhua Elementary School in Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, with a similar name. It has over 3,000 students, like a large forest—quite unique!
