Introduction
林本源園邸佔地約六千零五十四坪，林家於清咸豐三年（西元1853年）建三落大厝之後可能即醞釀興築園林，陸續完成書屋及方鑑齋等建築。至光緒十四年（西元1888年），由林維源投下鉅金全面修葺，將各園景串連起來，形成一座有體系的園林，光緒十九年（西元1893年）始告全部落成。
